About

Gina Piva is a designer, seamstress, artist, and educator. She’s originally from the state of Oregon in the US. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 2012 with a BA in Theatre Arts. She has a deep love of history and her interests have always gravitated towards historical costumes.

Over the last ten years she’s been able to work in a variety of roles in costuming for theatre. As a designer and a seamstress she’s worked on shows with a number of professional theatre companies and educational institutions. She also has extensive experience backstage working with wardrobe as a dresser.

Since moving to the UK in 2021 she has been working primarily in education. She works directly with students teaching garment construction and machining. She gets great satisfaction in helping people build their confidence and achieve their sewing goals.

In her downtime she enjoys painting and creating art dolls.
